The Reichsmark ( scan ) was the official currency from 1924 to 1948 in the Weimarer Republic and the third Reich. The Reichsmark was introduced in 1924 as a replacement of the german Papiermark, cause the german inflation reached it's peak in 1923. In 1948 the Reichsmark was finally abolished in the Allied and Soviet occupation zone.
